We are excited to live in the information age - websites, travel blogs and brochures are all useful tools to help to paint a picture of a destination, and at Adventure Travel we have whole-heartedly embraced this revolution. However, these resources will never take the place of personal experience. Our consultants travel to the destinations you tell us you’d like to visit; between us we have visited over 130 countries. We then return regularly to places to ensure our knowledge is current. We aim to experience those places through your eyes, and then return with our knowledge and passion to share with you. Consequently, we like to think our clients come back home with the stories that everyone else misses; our goal is to genuinely connect you with the location and its culture.

We are the antithesis of a traditional travel agency – we don’t just open a brochure and ask ‘which one do you want?’. In fact, we now rarely plan holidays using brochures; most of our itineraries are tailor-made. We will put the collective knowledge of our team to work in this planning. Perhaps you have decided exactly where you want to go or have simply circled a vague area on an atlas. You may have done some research already, or be looking to us for inspiration. Either way, we will help you get the most of your journey. Our mission is to work with you to ensure you the richest possible experience.

Adventure Travel only employs well travelled senior travel consultants, with years of experience in this most complex and dynamic of industries. Don’t waste precious hours researching something when we know how to do it for you efficiently in a fraction of the time. Our role is to deliver the best value travel experience, whatever your budget. We will look after all of your arrangements in one place so you don’t need to worry about the little details; that’s our job!

We’re there when you need us.

The world can be an unpredictable place, and even the most carefully laid of plans can be thrown into disarray, both before and after your departure. In recent times, we’ve seen extreme weather events, volcanic ash, civil unrest and strikes. When airline schedules change and tours are cancelled, we go to work for you. Our assistance doesn’t just end when you leave New Zealand; we have been there for our clients when they most needed our assistance, while other travellers are left frustrated with crashed websites and recorded messages on phone-lines.

Our goal is to inspire and enthuse you about your travels. We want to ensure your holiday planning is as much of an enjoyable journey and exciting process as actually being there; from our preliminary chat right through to when we hand over your travel documents. Our regular information evenings will update you with real stories from our travels, presented by people who have the ability to answer the in-depth questions. When you return from your travels, we’ll ask what you enjoyed the most and we’ll continue to learn through your experiences.
