Kenya & Tanzania

East Africa - home to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar offer travelers a true taste for Africa; unbelievable wildlife, spectacular scenery, diverse cultures, beautiful beaching and exotic foods.

Wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy the great plains of the Masai Mara and watch the huge concentration of wildebeest and zebra as they participate in the Migration.  River Crossings by these herds are harrowing and not for the faint hearted as you watch crocodiles lying in wait and nervous animals hesitating before plunging wildly into the rivers.  Predators of the pussy cat variety abound as they hunt down the vulnerable young and old on their trek across the Serengeti Plains.

Lake Manyara is famous for tree climbing lions whilst Lake Nakuru is a photographers dream with its enormous flocks of flamingoes.  Don't miss Ngorongoro Crater - a mini Garden of Eden and the fascinating Olduvai Gorge.  Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and Mt Kenya offer outstanding trekking opportunities - just make sure you take your time getting to the top!

Zanzibar is a great option for a relax after being on safari.  This beautiful spice island has a rich history of trade and wealth and was once ruled by the Sultan of Muscat.  Enjoy the heavy scents of nutmeg, mace and cinnamon whilst you explore the narrow meandering alleyways.  Visit the spice plantations and the old slave market,  then relax on beautiful white sand beaches and swim in the idyllic warm waters.   The seafood market at the beach in Stone Town is a highlight, wander down in the warm evenings and haggle for kebabs of perfectly cooked prawns.
