Morocco
Morocco is a land saturated with colour and rich in history, and it has long held a romantic allure for the westerner. In part, no doubt, thanks to Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman!! For many, its greatest charm lies in the labyrinths of the imperial cities – Fes, Meknes, Marrakech and Rabat.
The snow capped High Atlas Mountains, the great river valleys of the south with their magnificent red-earth kasbahs, the vast expanse of the desert – all offer the visitor a taste of the exotic. Morocco is famous for its excellent walking and cycling trips.
The adventurous traveller can enjoy a camel trek into the sand dunes and oases of the Zagora region. If you go camping overnight in the desert – take loads of film, the changing colours of the desert with sunset and sunrise will enthrall you. You can also explore the Atlas Mountains by jeep and discover the wild Todra Gorge on foot.
