Destination by Activity
Many of our clients know WHERE they want to go, but many others know WHAT they want to do. You may prefer to start your planning with an activity in mind, and then we'll then recommend the perfect destination for that activity for the time of year you prefer to travel. For example - trekking in October - how about Nepal? A gentle pedalling holiday in June - France or Italy are lovely! Fancy skiing in February - try Canada or Japan!
Adventure Travel have always been synonymous with a huge range of small group tours, cycling and walking holidays, safaris and overland journeys. In addition, Skiing holidays in the Northern Hemisphere during our Summer months have always been popular.
As we reach the end of the first decade of the 21st Century however, the range of 'themed' holidays has grown hugely in the last few years. Today there are a wide range of options that would have been considered very 'specialist' until recently. A few examples are 'Gourmet' holidays for foodies, volunteering holidays for those keen to put something back, motorbike tours and photographic safaris.
Cruise holidays are now the fastest growing part of the travel industry, and we have certainly seen Kiwis embrace the whole range of cruises in the last few years. We have seen steady growth in the numbers of our clients jumping on bigger cruise ships for the ultimate relaxing holiday, but our speciality are the small ship 'adventure' cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic, Alaska, the Galapagos Islands and Amazon.
How about the ultimate trip? It's difficult to imagine that 10 years ago, we would be advertising holidays to Space with any degree of confidence, but Space Tourism projects are well advanced now. Adventure Travel are proud to be Accredited Space Agents for Virgin Galactic in New Zealand and we're excited to watch New Zealand's first Space tourists lift off in the next couple of years!
