Overland Journeys
There is a real sense of adventure and achievement when you set out on an overland journey. Through the African Continent, South America, follow the footsteps of Marco Polo across Asia and the Middle East and even into Europe, these truck journeys range from one week through to six months – or longer if you have the time!
Wending your way from the UK to South Africa on a self-contained truck with an average of 18 other like-minded people would have to be the ultimate adventure; wildlife watching, sunsets, camping, friends and romance, buying produce from the markets, taking the local school on with a game of football, truck stuck in mud! You have to be prepared to let go of the home comforts and to really participate.
Some favourite overland journeys include; the UK to Capetown, Capetown to Nairobi, Kathmandu to London, the Indochina loop, Santiago to Rio and Istanbul to Cairo. For something off the beaten track you could consider the amazing 25 week Trans America trip from Alaska all the way south through Canada, the US, Central America and South America to Ushuaia.
Some lucky overland adventurers tell stories of getting lost (just temporarily) in sandstorms in the Sahara, others tell of having to build a bridge to continue their journey across a muddy bog. Off the beaten-track, meeting the local people in remote areas who have no concept of the Western world is a great leveller and makes you ask the question – What are we doing? Have we got it right? And, if you are on an overland journey – you will have plenty of time to think...

Road to Zanzibar
This trip is the perfect blend of wildlife and culture, exploring the great game parks of East Africa and getting to meet the locals on community projects that we support. Rather than just go for a game drive in the Serengeti we actually camp out in the park for 2 nights, and you shouldn't miss the chance to go game viewing from the air on a hot air balloon safari, as well as seeing the Ngorongoro Crater. We explore the stunning Usambara Mountains, visiting small villages and going on walks through the surrounding bush, before heading to the beaches of the Indian Ocean, ending the trip on the idyllic and exotic island of Zanzibar.
