Adventure Travel is lucky enough to be the exclusive New Zealand travel agent for World Photo Adventures (formerly Safariwise) a family owned business run by Darran and Julia Leal who specialise in photography tours, workshops and seminars around the world and who have a reputation for offering outstanding service and unique events. Darran Leal is one of the world’s most diverse and travelled photographers and has guided and tutored at over 500 events throughout the world.

World Photo Adventures is based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, and each year Darran Leal undertakes several major photo expeditions to regions in the USA, Africa, South America and beyond. “My life has never been one of sitting around and waiting for things to happen. Rather, I get out and explore, touch, catch, view, experience and savour every unique moment. Unlike many photographers, I do not specialise in one area. I shoot everything from the smallest insect to the grandest landscape and unique culture. I have been lucky in the past 15 years to share these experiences with my wife Julia and sons Pearce and Frazer.”
