Safaris & Wildlife
With a name like 'Adventure Travel' you'd be excused for thinking we might know a thing or two about Wildlife and Safari holidays. Well, you'd be right! For many New Zealanders, 'Safaris' and 'Africa' are synonymous, and most of our consultants rate Africa as their favourite destination. Today, there's an enormous range of safari options in Africa available; from traditional overland journeys in trucks, through small group camping or hotel tours to luxury fly-in safaris staying in lodges and tented camps.
However, if you love wildlife, it's not all about Africa. In India, enjoy the fantastic spectacle of spotting tigers in India or riding elephants in Chitwan National Park, Nepal. Closer to home, we have the orang-utans and extraordinary wildlife diversity of Borneo, or closer still, amazing havens of birdlife like Kakadu National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. Many of us have visited the Polar Regions - it's hard to top a holiday cruising among the whales, albatross and penguins of Antarctica or the polar bears, walrus and puffins of the Arctic. No trip to South America would be complete without a cruise to view the numerous endemic species of the Galapagos Islands, or a foray into the Amazon Rainforest.
