Skiing

Japan is fast becoming one of our newest and most exciting ski destinations. Niseko is a must being renowed for having some of the best powder snow conditions on the planet combined with great facilities, superb service and fantastic food. Furano ski area boasts two spectacular mountains that will easily satisfy skiers and snow boarders of all abilities. A few hours by train from Tokyo is Hakuba which hosted the 1998 Winter Olympics and offers the most breathtaking terrain in Japan, with extensive resorts and over 200 runs to access this is another fantastic option for your next ski trip.

Canada is a mecca for the keen skier or snowboarder offering a choice of varied terrain, from wide open bowls and tree lined glades to groomed slopes – all covered with the fresh, dry champagne powder that the area is famous for. Whistler/Blackcomb is consistently voted the number one ski resort in North America. This destination has the two greatest vertical rise ski mountains in North America and five separate mountain bases within 5 minutes of each other as well as the most advanced high speed lift system in the world. Lake Louise is consistently voted most scenic ski resort in North America, is famous for its Canadian hospitality and offers a longest run of 8km. Banffa "Western" town – is a unique destination, where elk freely roam the streets, where apres skiing can be enjoyed with the locals and Friday nights are spent night-skiing at nearby Mount Norquay.

There are some fantastic fields in the USA, and Europe also has some great fields like Chamonix in France where apres skiing reigns. Of course you may go to France as a ‘chalet girl’ where you get to look after foreign tourists who stay in the chalets, and manage to fit in a few hours skiing each day, in between preparing meals and tidying up.
