Greek Islands

We can thank Greece for giving us the Olympics, Zorba, souvlaki, moussaki, Melina Mercouri and ouzo, but we can’t thank them enough for being one of Europe’s most alluring destinations!

One look at the Acropolis and the Parthenon and you’ll forgive Athens for its chaotic jumble of old and new. Visit Delphi and Olympia and be humbled by the sophistication of an ancient civilization.

Then venture to the Greek Islands and you may never go home; 1400 sun-kissed beaches lapped by a brilliant blue sea, dazzling white houses, vineyards, lemon groves, monasteries, golden domes, red roofs – sunnies a necessity!

Among them Rhodes, famous for its medieval town, historic Lindos and 300 sunshine hours a year; Crete with its rugged mountains and sandy coves; Mykonos for chic charm, Paros and Naxos best explored on a zippy motor scooter; and Santorini, with its submerged caldera, black sands and dramatic location. Island hop, cruise or discover them in your own bare boat charter – does it get any better than that?
