Join Aaron Russ as he leads you on a journey around the Arctic and through the NW Passage, from Polar Bears and Walrus to heroic exploration and Inuit culture. Aaron Russ has grown up surrounded by wildlife and wilderness, especially that of the world’s oceans. Starting his ocean exploring in the Sub Antarctic and Antarctic waters south of New Zealand Aaron continued to explore and expand his horizons. 

Aaron has led small ship expeditions for over a decade with a number of international cruise companies to places such as the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, Svalbard, Russian Far East, Antarctica, tropical Pacific and the Galapagos. He is a keen photographer, a hobby which combines well with traveling to some of the world’s premier natural history destinations.

 
Across the Aegean lose yourself in the old towns of Crete and Santorini, check out the sunset over Santorini’s caldera and marvel at the man-made monasteries sitting atop soaring pinnacles in the Lousios Valley and Meteora. And don’t forget the Acropolis – nobody who visits it ever does!
 
In Turkey, bathe among Roman remains in thermal waters, swim among the ruins of an ancient sunken city at Kekova, and explore the surreal rocky landscape and underground cities of Cappadocia. Watch the mystical whirling dervishes in Konya, encounter some of the world’s best preserved Roman ruins in Ephesus and pay your respects to the fallen New Zealand, Australian and Turkish soldiers at Gallipoli.
