There are many things you cant miss in Buenos Aires, like the Colon theater or the River Plate stadium on a game day, but what you really cant pass on is food - god I put on 5 kilos in 3 weeks!!

Talk to me Now!

September 2010

Cecilia and I went on a three week journey to Argentina and Uruguay! Spending one week in Misiones province where the most amazing water falls in the planet are (Iguazu falls for my brothers wedding). We also visited the north east coast of Uruguay and thirty miles from the border of Brazil lies an incredibly beautiful and hidden gem called Punta del Diablo, a fishermens village that has character, friendly people and a strong Brazilian Influence, a unique combination together with beautiful beaches and great rustic accommodation.

Below is a few of my favourite foods when I go home, but you will need to come and see me for details on WHERE to get these on your travels!

Sandwich de miga (soft fresh bread without crust) from a Panaderia(bakery):  Delicious prosciutto and cheese, blue cheese, pineapple and cheese, lots of different tasty combinations to absolutely die for!!

Also from a Panaderia: My favourite, early in the morning fresh baked FACTURAS, a croissant is a Factura, but  we have at least 20 different types of Facturas, I recommend a Vigilante  and a Canion de Dulce de Leche (caramel filled canyon)

Helados from a heladeria(ice cream shop): the most delicious ice creams in the world, yes better than the Italians

Come in for a chat if you'd like to find out where to get these delicious treats, having lived in Buenos Aires for many years I know a thing or two about where the best foods are!
