We are having an amazing time, in this couple of days we have been here we have already noticed how healthy and strong this culture is, and the secret is that it lives and shows in the younger generations as much as it does in the older ones, it is something amazing, the respect for the elders and the family gatherings where 3 different generations sit together to enjoy food, sing and talk is a sign of a strong community that I envy and reminds me very much of my South American roots.
Yes, of course I have surf; incredible waves at an incredible beach and all to myself, I will not say where but if anyone is interested, just email me and I might tell you.
Our hotel for the first two nights was perfect and the food amazing; the chef was a Samoan who had lived in Christchurch for 11 years. Like all Samoans, he was very welcoming!
We are now at vacations fales on the beach tomorrow here at Manase beach. Manase is the best beach so far !! Tonight we have been invited to Tanu fales by our new friend Vavae and after seeing so many hotels and fales we are taking the arvo off to download photos and and relax by the beach for the afternoon.
Tomorrow we are visiting falealupo rainforest and will do the canopy tree walk and then we are coming back to stay at vacations where our good friend Lou (Jerry Collins’ uncle and Samoan tourist board director) has treated us like royalty.
There is no better time or way to Support our Samoan brothers than booking a holiday there and sharing some love with this amazing people!
